I am a scientist-physician within the Neuropathology Division of the Pathology Department at UCSD. I am broadly interested in the regulation of chromatin and epigenetics by ubiquitin signaling during brain development. I am supported by a K08 grant from NICHD entitled, “Ubiquitin signaling in epigenetic regulation of neuronal development.”
My clinical role is as the director of ophthalmic pathology at UCSD.
I am a PhD student in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. My previous research at UCSD focused on exploring mitochondrial dysfunction in neurological diseases using iPSC-based models. Currently, my research interests in the lab revolve the role of chromatin regulators in facilitating the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders. Outside of the lab, I enjoy hiking, karaoke, and going to concerts.
I am a M.S. student in the Biology B.S/M.S. Program and graduated from UCSD with a B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Currently, I am investigating the role of Bap1 in regulating H2AK119ub over neurodevelopment utilizing CUT&RUN and RNAseq. Outside of lab, I enjoy cooking and hunting for the best deals!
I recently graduated from UCSD with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Biology. My research interests include cell death and protein dysregulation in lysosomal neurodegeneration. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, exploring San Diego, and watching TV shows and movies.
I am a Bioengineering: Bioinformatics major at UCSD. My academic interests are epigenetics and the application of machine learning to solve biological problems. In my free time, I enjoy trying out cafes and restaurants as well as watching sunsets and movies with friends.
I am a high school senior, and have been in the lab going on 5 years. My interest in our research sparked from having a brother with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and wanting to understand the genetics and molecular biology of neurodegenerative disorders and intellectual differences. In the lab, my role primarily consists of computational analysis, statistical analysis, and data science.
I am a first year undergraduate student majoring in Bioinformatics in the Department of Biology. I am interested in applying computer science and data science techniques in the field of biomedical informatics. In my free time, I like to play badminton, solve Rubik’s cubes, and brew coffee.
